Scots Greys!

 Hi All
I've finally finished basing my PERRY MINIATURES Scots Greys.
I know this Regiment wore covers over their caps at Waterloo, but I wish the Perry's had sculpt them with covers off. They would look so much cooler I think.
All the same, they are nice miniatures and up to the Perry's usual very high standards.
I'm not to happy with my effort at painting a Regiment of Grey horses, but they will just have to do 'cause there is no way I'm repainting them.

 ABOVE: A poor dead French infantryman gets trampled under hoof.
BELOW: Bugler and Officer.

I will be using these guys to play both LASALLE and FoG:N.
The bases are 50mm square.

Royal Artillery Officer and a Romano-British Lord.

 Hi Guys
I've finish two 'Characters'. The first is a Royal artillery Officer for my Napoleonic British army for 1815. He's one of three mounted officers from PERRY MINIATURES 'Battery Commander's' set.

 I'll use this chap for LASALLE, FoG:N and SHARP PRACTICE games.

 As you can see the PERRY's have produced another cracking good miniature here.

 The other fellow is a Romano-British 'Lord' I'll be using in my Dux Britanniarium 'British' force.
I think he's either a Gripping Beast miniature or maybe a ESSEX miniature. Not sure,... He is nice though and just right for the period. I painted both using the Army Painter method with a bit of 'extra love' to bring out a bit more detail.

Dux Britanniarium is a new set of rules from the chaps at Too Fat Lardies and an excellent set of Skirmish rules they are. I HIGHLY recommend them. I've played two games thus far. One was a practice game and the second one is the first game in a 'campaign' I'm playing with my usual gaming buddy, Stan.
I'm playing the Saxon's, which I'm finding quite the challange. Roman 'Shieldwalls' are well hard.

Marshal Ney at Waterloo

3rd post today.
This time my "Marshal Ney and ADCs".
Again, PERRY MINIATURES, Ney and staff mounted at the gallop (includes Marshal Ney, ADC Colonel Heymes and ADC Levavasseur).

Dutch Belgian Casualties

Two posts in one day.
SPOILT OR WHAT!?
More Dutch Belgians. This time 'Casualty' or 'Disruption' Markers.
I'll need these for playing 'LASALLE', though I could also use them for playing FoG:N.

Dutch Belgian Artillery

ABOVE. The Infantry officer arrives with fresh orders.
 Hi Guys
Time for another update. I've added artillery of the 'Horse' type to my growing Dutch Belgian forces for 1815.
These are the very nice PERRY MINIATURES Dutch Belgian Horse Artillery firing their 6 Pounders.

 I've based them on 50mm X 100mm bases. I've based them for Lasalle, but I can also use them for FoG:N.

 My only gripe with these miniatures is the Perry's only did them in a 'Firing' pose. Most of the other Perry artillery sets come in 'FIRING' and 'LOADING' poses and some even have 'RUNNING UP'.
I'm a Gunner by trade, so really like to have a mix of poses for my Artillery sets.
All the same, these are very nice miniatures.

 I added an Infantry officer arriving with orders for the Battery. You can see him to the rear of the central gun, orders in hand.

Man with HUGE Chopper!

Hi Guys
I thought I'd upload a photo from my first Dux Britanniarum game.
My 'Champion' wades into a Sub-Roman British Shieldwall.
He kinda looks like Derren Hintch (see below)

Anyway, all I can say is DUX BRITANNIARUM is a cracking good game.
Our first game an we got heaps wrong, but we can see already that the lads at TFL have kicked another goal.
I'll be playing another game this weekend and hopefully I'll post an AAR.
Oh, and yes I'm using mostly Gauls in my raiding force (I have not painted up all of my SAXONS just yet).

2nd Nassau-Usingen Regiment and Volunteer Jager company

 Hi Guys
I finally got around to adding a Flag to my 2nd Nassau-Usingen Regiment that my good friend 'Gunner Dunbar' painted for me a few months ago. They are the excellent PERRY MINIATURES and I think you'll agree they are excellent sculpts. 
I've based these guys for LASALLE, though they would also do nicely for FoG:N.

BELOW: A wounded Officer alerts his men to some enemy. Are they Cavalry?
Or is he saying, "Oi, is that my boot over there"?

 BEOW: A poor unfortunate comes a cropper.

 BELOW: The Voltigeurs advancing, high porte.

After these guys arrived I attempted to paint the Volunteer Jager company myself. I tried to match Danl's style as best I could but Danl is really a master and I'm afraid I'm not quite up to his standard. At three feet away they match quite well, but closer inspection will show I'm not in the same league.
I used the ARMY PAINTER method on the Volunteer Jager company. Block colours and Dip then Matt Varnish / Anti-shine spray. Works a treat.
